Description: The Colorcon Global Headquarters and Technology Center is a 94,000ft2 two-story complex. The complex contains Colorcon’s corporate headquarters, global data center and R&D laboratories and suites on a 26-acre site. Energy efficiency drove the design, allowing the building to achieve a 31% energy savings through architectural, mechanical and lighting systems. Site strategies include development minimization, a multi-function berm, a reforested buffer zone, a rain garden, environmentally sensitive site lighting, a vertical green wall, and a roof terrace irrigated from roof water run-off. The steel frame structure with metal roof was certified LEED Gold in April 2010.
