The 2019 Lab Design Conference has been scheduled for April 29-May 1, at the Hyatt Regency Orlando in Florida. In the coming weeks and months, we will be releasing more information about the conference and how you can get involved. Here's what you can expect to see from Laboratory Design regarding this exciting event:

- Call for Papers: A link will be posted on labdesignconference.com and communicated through labdesignnews.comemails, LinkedIn and Twitter, where you can upload your presentation proposals if you wish to speak at the 2019 Lab Design Conference. Past topics have included new technology, sustainability initiatives, cost-saving tips and budget management, specialty labs (cleanrooms, forensic facilities, vivariums, etc.), equipment overviews, case studies of specific projects, the future of lab design, safety and more. Start brainstorming your ideas now!

- Lab of the Year: The highlight of each year's conference is the reveal of our Lab of the Year winners. Entries will be accepted in late-2018—again, watch our websites, social media channels and your email for the registration link and the official rules. - Registration: Make sure to secure your spot in our audience once the official registration link is sent out. Also, be sure to book your hotel room right away so you're not left out!

- Tours: The 2019 Lab Design Conference will be offering tours of Orlando-area laboratory and healthcare facilities. Get a behind-the-scenes look at some of the country's most innovative buildings. Remember that this registration is separate from your general conference registration ... so once the tours are announced, be sure to book your spot before they're all gone! Click here to read about the five Philadelphia facility tours that were offered as part of the 2018 conference. (And email us if you have a suggestion for an Orlando-area lab or healthcare facility we should visit!)

- Meet the Speaker profiles: Stay tuned to labdesignnews.com for interviews with our 2019 conference speakers—learn more about their professional backgrounds, their advice for others in their fields and what they do for fun. (We also welcome interviews with lab design professionals throughout the year, unrelated to our conference ... click here to read these Professional Profiles, and get in touch if you want to be featured!)

- Stay in touch! Make sure you are registered to receive our emails, and follow us on LinkedIn and Twitter for the most up-to-date information on what's happening with the 2019 Lab Design Conference. We will be using the Twitter hashtag #2019LDC for all things conference-related.
