HPLC Columns Speed Analyses

Hypersil GOLD columns, packed with 1.9-µm particles, are now available in new dimensions. Designed to increase productivity for users in HPLC and Fast LC analyses, the new columns are suited for rapid quantitative separations. The Javelin HTS column measures only 10-mm column, enabling analysis times as rapid as 8 sec to be achieved. Its column format utilizes ultra-low dead volume and direct-connect hardware to minimize dispersion. Additionally, 1.9-µm Hypersil GOLD media is also available, packed into a high-pressure column 50 mm long with a 4.6 mm internal diameter. Traditionally, a 1.9-µm column is used on UHPLC instruments. However, by producing less backpressure, this wider column is attainable to users of conventional systems where pressure limits are often in the 6000-psi region. Equally, this column can still be used on UHPLC instruments, including the Accela High Speed LC.
