Aluminum-Based Heat Sink Front Panels

A line of Elma Electronic's front panels also acts as heat sinks and dissipates heat while covering open sections of an enclosure. Providing lower costs, the aluminum-based heat sinks are easy to cut and machine. Additional features include a high thermal capacity, low density and lightweight. Other materials are available upon request. The black-anodized heat sink surfaces provide an order of magnitude higher emissivity than an untreated surface. Clear-anodized versions are also available. The units come in various sizes and configurations but are specifically designed for 19'' technology. The cooling fin extrusion is available in variable increments. Each fin is built on a 1.5-HP pitch to guarantee enough space in between for screw heads. Thus the fins do not need to be modified for mounting. EMC versions with a mounting bracket for gaskets are also available. The heat sinks can be used to provide extra heat dissipation, along with a more stylish appearance in environments such as industrial, medical, military, aerospace, and test and measurement markets.
