Multispectral Imaging System CRi’s Vectra multispectral imaging system solves researchers’ problem with detecting and quantifying multiple protein expression in intact tissue. Rather than resorting to the conventional method of measuring one protein at a time in serial sections, where the tissue morphology cannot be presumed to be consistent from section to section, manual Nuance and automatic Vectra systems enable quantitative multicolor labeling by capturing multispectral data and spectrally unmixing each signal. Being able to detect co-expression accurately on a per-cell basis can help differentiate sub-groups and potentially lead to more targeted, more effective treatments and therapies. These are the only systems available that support multicolor immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence. Users can simultaneously image and measure biomarkers such as ER, PR, and HER2/neu, as well as markers such as pAKT, pERK, pS6, Ki67, and VEGF. Quantitative, independent, and specific multi-label protocols exist that can greatly accelerate clinical and pre-clinical studies.
