HAMA Blocker for Reduction of Immunoassay Interference  TRU Block, a highly potent reagent from amsbio, actively blocks the heterophilic antibody (HA) interference in immunoassays, including Human Anti-Mouse Antibody (HAMA) interference.
Heterophilic antibodies are a group of human antibodies against animal IgG. HA interference is a known interference factor in diagnostic assays, often causing false positive or false negative results. The frequency of such interference is low, but false results impact the quality and competitiveness of the diagnostic assays as well as the lives of falsely diagnosed individuals.
The reagent offers advantages over Mouse IgG reagents, which inhibit HAMA by serving as antigens of HAMA. TRU Block works differently using a proprietary active mechanism and is 5 to 20 times more effective than Mouse IgG on HAMA blocking, reducing blocker usage. It also works on other types of HA.
