Plate Reader Cuts Measurement Times

Plate Reader Cuts Measurement TimesBooth 972. The DynaPro Titan plate reader from Wyatt Technology is an automated dynamic light scattering (DLS) instrument that can be used with 96-, 384- or 1536-well plates for unattended and rapid analysis of protein solutions, promiscuous inhibitors, buffers, or other products in solution.

Used with a 1536-well plate, the sample volume requirements are <5 mL. Because the plate reader does not suck or siphon its samples, delicate aggregate bonds or complexes are not perturbed in the measurement process. The instrument can make rapid measurements so that conventional batch mode DLS can be avoided. In doing so, measurement times can be cut down by a factor of 10, enabling hundreds of analyses to be performed in a day.
