The Zinsser Analytic Sophas HT automated synthesis instrument provides a complete workflow for the parallel synthesis or generation of new compounds or catalysts. Suited for distributing both dry and liquid reagents directly from their original storage vial without additional preparation steps under inert conditions, the automatic platform features a robotic arm with powder dispensing and liquid handling probes, and a handler for transporting vials and labware. The distribution process is controlled by a built-in 4-place (5- or 6-place optional) weighing cell to monitor the mass distribution. Powders can be distributed from <1 to 50 mg. The system detects the level of the solid material in the original library vial, and small layers on the bottom can be transferred to the dissolution vial or plate. It can also be configured with heated vortexing, liquid and solid handling filtration probes, reaction blocks, pH monitoring, vial capping/de-capping, or sample visual control to automate the entire workflow. Propriety WinLissy software controls the platform and allows future integration of additional modules and can interface with an existing data infrastructure.
