Brookfield Engineering's Powder Flow Tester (PFT) delivers quick and easy analysis of powder flow behavior in industrial processing equipment by minimizing the downtime and expense that occur when hoppers/silos fail to discharge. With the tester, users can perform QC checks on incoming materials, characterize new formulations for flowability, and adjust composition to match the flow behavior of established products. The PFT features various test options, including flow function, time consolidation, wall friction and bulk density. Time estimates for the duration of each test are automatically calculated before starting in case adjustments are needed. The user can also choose a graphical or tabular data output format for each test, as well as calculations for arching dimension, rathole diameter, and hopper half-angle. Provided with Powder Flow Pro Software and all accessories for handling powder samples, the tester features a small footprint that fits on a benchtop.
