The simple, reliable CO 8000 meter from Biochrom measures the density of cells grown in suspension by measuring OD at 600 nm, making it suited for cells such as yeast and bacterial cultures. The completely portable, handheld meter has a rechargeable battery with a long life, enabling users to take it to where the cell cultures are growing. Uses can be found in incubation cabinets, under anaerobic conditions or even in a fume hood or safety cabinet. The device is easily cleaned and accepts a variety of cuvettes and tubes.
