Anhydrous Solvents Feature Impurity Remover

Anhydrous Solvents Feature Impurity RemoverAlfa Aesar's anhydrous solvents feature Active Dry alkali metal silica gel system (Na-SG-I), an efficient drying agent and impurity remover for solvents and anionic polymerization processes.

Commonly used drying agents require distillation to remove traces of the agent. Standard drying procedures are also a tedious limiting factor in both laboratory and industrial production scale reactions.

Active Dry provides drying performance on par with other recognized methods with the added benefit of not requiring a post-drying and post-purifying workup. Each solvent includes a pouch immersed in the solvent to ensure dryness, and is sealed using propriety ChemSeal septum caps. The initial line of solvents includes benzene, heptane, hexane, pentane, tetrahydrofuran and toluene.
