Perten Instruments' micro mirror module, a sample presentation system for the DA 7200, enables easy and accurate analysis of extremely small samples. The module is designed for small sample amounts such as kernels, seeds, and small amounts of powders or meals. A few kernels or grams are enough; users can pour the sample onto the mirror surface and place beneath the DA 7200. The micro mirror module gathers the light which has interacted with the sample, and the stray light never enters the instrument. The signal-to-noise ratio improves accuracy particularly for complex parameters and low concentrations. Many of the existing proprietary calibrations can be used with the module, resulting in simple bias adjustments to the local lab.
