Easy-to-Operate Salt Analyzer
Booth 2810.
The CLD-100 salt analyzer from JM Science achieves quick, accurate determination of chloride ions via coulometric titration. Measurement occurs when silver ions produced from the silver wire by electrical oxidization in a special electrolyte react with chloride ions in the samples. The concentration of Cl or NaCl is calculated from the quantity of electricity required to produce silver ions.
Easy maintenance eliminates the need for reagent standardization in coulometry. Operation is simple; the sample solution is simply injected into the electrolyte-filled measuring vessel, and results are obtained rapidly and accurately. Rapid measurement is achievable within 20 sec to measure 20-µL or 1% NaCl standard. The analyzer's small footprint (310 mm wide x 270 mm deep) saves bench space.
Colored samples are also accurately measureable with no problem in potentiometric end-point detection method. Reusable electrolyte for several measurements provides cost savings. The mercury-free and trouble-free sleeve-type reference electrode is adopted for safety.
