Slide Loader System Features Multiple-Sensory-Based Gripper System

The automated, high-speed PL-200 slide loader system is suited for a variety of high-throughput microscopy applications. Compatible with a range of microscopes, the slide loading system utilizes a space-saving rotating arm combined with a multiple-sensory-based gripper system to interface with ProScan II series motorized stages, ensuring a safe and reliable slide transfer routine. A rigid, common base plate for both the slide loader and the microscope minimizes vibration and provides a solid connection between slide loader and microscope. The unit accommodates 200 slides in four removable racks that house 50 slides each. Sensors monitor the presence of the slide racks, so the system can intelligently respond when racks are removed and replaced. Upon detecting a newly installed slide rack, an advanced detection system automatically scans and identifies the quantity of slides and its respective location in the rack. To ensure generated data is associated with the correct slide reference details, and consequently to fulfill GLP requirements, an optional barcode reader can be calibrated to read 1-D or 2-D barcodes. The comprehensive software development kit simplifies integration with 3rd-party software packages.
