HPLC Detector Offers Nanogram Sensitivity

NQAD Nano Quantity Analyte Detector from Dorton AnalyticalThe NQAD Nano Quantity Analyte Detector from Dorton Analytical is an aerosol-based detector for HPLC. Based on condensation nucleation (CNLSD) technology, the NQAD detects sub-nanogram levels. Benefiting from ultra-high sensitivity, the detector is suited for searching for drug impurities, degradation products, excipients and when industrial hygiene is a concern. Both easy and hard-to-measure compounds can be quatified accurately with minimal sample preparation.

The NQAD detector offers a range with superior linearity. Detection of the detector is near universal for compounds that are less volatile than the mobile phase. Chromophores and fluorophores are not needed for detection, thereby eliminating or decreasing the need for compound derivatization. The detector is optimized for use in UHPLC, HPLC and SFC. Easy to install and operate, with one of the smallest footprints available, the detector is is suited for iany laboratory.

Slow and Steady Wins the Race
In the 100 years since Marie Curie won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry, women have made leaps and bounds in science and engineering. Following the extreme example of Madame Curie, women have exponentially raised their position in S&E in the last few decades. In a field previously (and traditionally) dominated by men, women seem to be slowly but surely taking over—or at least leveling the playing field. ...continue
