SFC Stationary Phases Deliver High Performanceby ES Industries
The chromatogram reveals improved peak performance obtained with GreenSep Ethyl Pyridine column with SFC, while not requiring any peak shape modifiers. Click to enlarge | ES Industries has developed a line of GreenSep stationary phases specifically engineered for supercritical fluid chromatography (SFC) separations. Columns from analytical to preparative sizes are available for all SFC phases including 15-mm ID columns and particle size from 3 to 20 µm.
GreenSep Amino Phenyl is a specialty SFC stationary phase designed for the separation of amines, alcohols and acids by SFC without the use of additives. GreenSep DEAP is a specialty SFC stationary phase that is more efficient than conventional stationary phases in the areas of separation selectivity, peak shape and loading capacity. Many SFC separations require the addition of amine modifiers to the mobile phase to improve peak shape; however, DEAP does not require the addition of these peak shape modifiers. Mobile phase composition and fraction collection is simplified without the use of amino additives.
GreenSep Ethyl Pyridine SFC stationary phase delivers high performance compared to conventional stationary phases in the areas of separation selectivity, peak shape and loading capacity. The chromatogram is an example of the superior peak shape performance obtainable with the ethyl pyridine column with SFC. The type of chemicals separated would normally require the addition of an amine to the mobile phase; however ethyl pyridine does not require the addition of these peak shape modifiers. The chromatogram contains chemicals that are functionalized with strong amine groups and demonstrates the flexibility that GreenSep Ethyl Pyridine can deliver to the SFC chromatographer.
With both ethyl pyridine and DEAP, mobile phase composition and fraction collection is simplified without the use of amino additives. Both are also suitable SFC columns for the retention and rapid separation of chemical containing strong amine groups and can also easily replace conventional stationary phases used in SFC and deliver high performance.
GreenSep Nitro separates geometrical isomers as well as diastereomers. It is suited for separating compounds that contain aromatic group, polarizable electrons and conjugate systems. Nitro is noted for its separation capabilities and is available in analytical columns, preparative columns and bulk media.
GreenSep PFP is suited in the areas of separation selectivity and loading capacity. Like Nitro, PFP separates geometrical isomers as well as diastereomers. It is a suitable column for separating compounds that contain aromatic group, polarizable electrons and conjugate systems. In addition, PFP is useful for the separation of halogenated compounds. In many cases, PFP provides orthogonal separations when compared to GreenSep Nitro. PFP is noted for its separation capabilities and is available in analytical columns, preparative columns and bulk media.
GreenSep Pyridyl Amide is a specialty SFC stationary phase that is strong in the areas of separation selectivity, peak shape and loading capacity. With the pyridyl amide phase, chemicals that would normally require the addition of TFA or an amine to the mobile phase to be separated do not require the addition of these peak shape modifiers. The phase works with chemicals that are functionalized with both amine bases and acidic groups, demonstrating the flexibility that pyridyl amide can deliver to the SFC chromatographer. Mobile phase composition and fraction collection is greatly simplified without the use of amino or TFA additives. GreenSep Pyridyl Amide can easily replace conventional stationary phases used in SFC and deliver high performance.
