Moisture Management Simulation Enhances Product Stability

The SimulSorb service simulates the packaged environment, identifying moisture vapor transmission (MVTR) and oxygen transfer (OTR) rates to calculate the moisture and oxygen ingress values. From there, the company’s team of technical experts pseudo-empirically predicts the relative humidity of a pharmaceutical package’s headspace and drug product hydration level over time. These calculations help determine the quantity of active sorbent necessary to ensure product stability and, in turn, shelf life. Implementation is expedited, as conducting this analysis independently can be a time-consuming process.
