Portable Capillary Gas Chromatograph Enables Selective Detection

Booth 5203. The GUARDION-7 micro-sized, high-speed capillary gas chromatograph provides high resolution separation of analytes. The miniaturized toroidal ion trap mass spectrometer (TMS) enables highly sensitive and selective detection of various compounds at unit mass resolution over a mass range of 50 to 500 Daltons. Samples are introduced using the CUSTODION-10 solid phase micro extraction (SPME) fiber syringe. The GC-TMS instrument weighs only 27.7 pounds, operates on a 24-V battery, and is equipped with a 90-cc helium carrier gas cartridge. It is ready to operate in approximately 3 minutes and supports approximately 5-minute run-to-run cycle times. The user interface provides step-by-step operating instructions and is supported by on-board libraries for automated target compound identification.
