Miniaturized, Full-Spectrum Spectrometer

The i-Lab system features a miniaturized full-spectrum measurement system based on a proprietary custom-designed imaging chip. Sample handling and introduction is made easy by a fully integrated, disposable sampler. A full visible spectrum of a liquid sample is produced and stored within the device for later uploading into a laptop or a laboratory computer system. Uploaded spectra (up to 500) can be further processed by the device’s spectral data handling package. Standard colorimetric methods can be developed and stored as either commercially available downloadable modules or as user-defined methods. The battery-powered device comes with a standard USB interface for uploading and downloading of data and methods. The S560 is the first in the series of micro-spectrometers designed as handheld devices.
