Particle Size and Surface Area Instrument
Instrument measures surface area of particles or droplets dispersed in any type of liquid
Booth 2275. The Acorn AreA is designed to measure the surface area of particles or droplets dispersed in any type of liquid. This new generation technique utilizes nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and provides fast analysis of solid particles of any size or shape. The AreA will also calculate the volume fraction or % solids. Operation of the device is simple with the proprietary AreaQuant software. Suspensions and emulsions can be measured non-invasively, without dilution. The portable instrument has a small footprint, is lightweight and has no moving parts. Measurement time is minimal and no sample preparation or clean-up means significantly increased sample throughput. Important processes such as milling and grinding can be readily monitored virtually in real time.
