Separation Speed Increased in Mini GC Instruments

Proprietary, miniaturized gas chromatography instruments feature increased separation speed. Thus 12-second separations of natural gas can be achieved. In addition, the detector sample rate has been increased to 1000 samples per second, enabling ultra-fast GC with peak widths down to tens of milliseconds. Miniaturized hardware, temperature ramping, accurate microliter peak injection and short columns enable quick and accurate detection while lowering costs. The fast or handheld chemical gas analyzers are based on silicon micromachining technology and the microDELTA integration platform. These small instruments are suited for mining, environmental, security and safety labs and quality control.
