Portable Alloy Analyzer Measures Light Elements
The nondestructive and portable NITON XLt 898He alloy analyzer measures light elements in metal alloys. Simultaneously measuring 27 sample elements from magnesium through bismuth, the analyzer provides fast-grade identification and chemical analysis of a range of metal alloys, including aluminum and titanium, stainless steels, nickel and super alloys. The analyzer measures magnesium, aluminum, silicon, phosphorus and sulfur content in metals. By purging the atmosphere in the analyzer with helium gas, it detects low-energy fluorescent X-rays of light elements that are not transmitted through air.
