SFE System Accommodates Pressure Vessels with 100-mL Capacity

Booth 3820. The SFT-100 SFE system investigates the feasibility of applying supercritical fluid techniques to various analyses and processing challenges. Dual sapphire syringe pump technology rapidly and accurately pressurizes the stainless steel vessel that is capable of containing supercritical fluids at pressures up to 10,000 psi. The system accommodates pressure vessels of up to 100-mL capacity. The large processing vessel enables the user to extract low levels of key components from materials or process larger amounts of bulk material than would be possible with conventional, analytical scale SFE equipment. An integrated pre-heater ensures consistent temperature of the fluid delivered to the extraction vessel, thus ensuring efficient and repeatable results. An optional co-solvent pump extends the versatility of the system, enabling extraction of moderately polar compounds.
