Solid Phase Microextraction Capability Enhances GC Autosampler

The TriPlus robotic GC autosampler features a new solid phase microextraction (SPME) capability. This solvent-less sample preparation technique involves extraction, concentration and introduction of analytes in a single step. Automating the process offers users extended sample throughput while eliminating solvent costs and adverse health effects. When configured with the autosamplers, the SPME capability comprises a dedicated fiber holder added to the basic system. The complete SPME cycle, from fiber preconditioning to sample adsorption and desorption phases, is completely automated.
