No-Pierce Septum Does Not Require Conditioning

Booth 3844. The Cepure Zero “no-pierce” septum offers a long service life, cleanliness and ease of use. Users no longer need to worry about coring and resulting contamination, downtime for conditioning, and needle breakage. The septum features a molded O-ring design. When properly installed, the aperture is squeezed closed by the mounting nut, creating a self-guiding path for the needle. During operation, the needle displaces any septum material without piercing. Slight misalignments get redirected, and once the needle withdraws the aperture re-closes tightly. Not having to puncture the septum reduces wear and tear and eliminates a system error source. Low-bleed characteristics arise from the combination of the basic material of construction and proprietary processing. The process, from blending and molding to inspection and packaging, also includes several extra conditioning steps.
