Automated Crimping Stations for HPLC Vials
Workbench automation systems based on high performance, automated XYZ liquid handling can now include automatic crimping stations for HPLC vials. The caps are provided on a rack on the workbench. For crimping, the robot places the caps on the vials using a gripper, and then the robot picks up the crimper tool and seals each vial. The crimper is powered by the robot and, thus, does not run on batteries. Crimping is available for aluminum seals measuring 8, 11, 13 and 20 mm. Additionally, the crimper can be used as a hand-held tool.
