Colored Caps Provide Long-Term Storage
TPE colored caps are made of a USP Class VI certificated thermo plastic elastomer (TPE) that provides an easily pierced, highly hydrophobic tube seal with resealing properties after repeated piercing. There is no discoloration even after long-term exposure to oxygen. The caps provide single-action capping of a single tube, a row of tubes, or a complete 96-tube rack. Available in eight colors, the caps provide a simple yet effective means of visually differentiating stored samples by person, project, etc. Each cap cluster is made of two components: the cap and a retaining film that is easily removed, leaving a seal on individual tubes. The cap cluster design virtually eliminates cross contamination problems.
