Particle Size and Image Analyzer
The Ankersmid particle size and image analyzer employs the Dynamic Image Analysis and Laser Obscuration Gradient (DIALOG) technique. It is for characterization of spherical, irregular shape, acicular and fiber particles, as well as agglomerations, mixtures, extreme concentrations and volumes, and concentration measurement. The instrument has a wide size range of 0.1-3600 μm, high resolution of 0.2 μm, wide dynamic range of 300:1, high accuracy, precision, repeatability and speed, and an automatic alignment test. The laser channel is not subject to effects of optical and physical properties of particles or medium (such as refractive indices, absorption, surface texture, porosity, electrical conductivity, viscosity variations, Brownian motion, thermal convection) and no assumption of sphericity is required. Particles can be seen real-time during measurements.
