Extensometers Test Specimens Under Controlled Conditions
The company's full range of universal testing machines (UTMs) and accessories includes specialty extensometers for testing specimens under controlled conditions. The E-900CT balanced, long-stroke extensometer for plastics and rubber testing is compatible with proprietary digital controllers and electromechanical testing machines. The instrument features 900-mm (35.4 inches) travel with adjustable gauge lengths between 20 and 80 mm (0.79 inches to 3.15 inches) that accommodate specimen thicknesses of 0.2 to 4.0 mm (0.008 inches to 0.16 inches). Resolution is 0.0254 mm (0.001 inches). A number of furnaces and environment chambers are also available for use with proprietary test frames.
