Retractable Housing Ensures Highly Hygienic Process Interface

The InTrac 798e retractable housing ensures users in the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries a highly hygienic process interface with the benefit of retracting the sensor without stopping or otherwise disrupting an active process. The clean-in-place/sterilize-in-place (CIP/SIP) allows for certification by 3A and EHEDG for its superior cleaning and draining characteristics, which are necessary in the Food and Beverage industry. The housing is available with multiple process connections and with a manual or pneumatic retraction system. The pneumatic option allows the housing to interface with the proprietary EasyClean automated cleaning and calibration systems. The twist lock immersion tube accommodates the majority of 12-mm × 120-mm sensors in the INGOLD product portfolio (except turbidity), which allows the user to reduce inventory by stocking only one sensor length. The immersion tube is also instrumental in keeping the length of the housing static while maintaining a waterproof cable seal in washdown areas.
