Elemental Analyzer Conforms to International Standards

The detection limit achieved with the multi EA 3100 elemental analyzer is 10 ppb for sulfur determination by UV fluorescence, and 50 ppb for nitrogen determination by chemiluminescence. With luminescence methods, there is no interference between sulfur and nitrogen in case of low sulfur and high nitrogen contents. In electrochemical detection, this interference can be eliminated by means of a converter. Thermal digestion is performed with a double-furnace system, a combination of horizontal and vertical furnaces in a single module. The advantages of both furnaces make the analyzer suited for analyses of liquid, solid, and gaseous samples. The system conforms to all international standards and to the in-house regulations of leading corporations.
