Elemental Analyzer for Nitrogen and Sulfur Determination

The multi EA 3100 offers a detection limit of 10 ppb for sulfur determination by UV fluorescence, and 50 ppb for nitrogen determination by chemiluminescence. With luminescence methods, there is no interference between sulfur and nitrogen in case of low sulfur and high nitrogen contents. In electrochemical detection, this interference can be eliminated by means of a converter, which is a standard feature of any unit equipped with electrochemical detectors. The detection limit for chlorine determination is 100 ppb. Thermal digestion is performed with a two-furnace system, a combination of horizontal and vertical furnaces in a single module.
