Determination
The multi N/C 2000 TOC/TNb analyzer employs the principle of thermocatalytic digestion at up to 950 C with two special catalysts selectable depending on the analytical needs thus ensuring quantitative digestion even of complex, saline, and difficult to oxidize matrices. The use of the patented VITA method allows high catalyst lifetime and long-term stability of calibration as well as reproducibility of results at a dynamic measuring range. Synthetic air or oxygen may be used as carrier gas and oxidant. Sample introduction is by direct injection, which is possible both manually and through an autosampler. In connection with a special lock, which features a high particle-handling capability, the system provides no or strongly reduced carry-over, even with very high TOC concentrations. The lock works septum-free, eliminating septum bleeding. The autosampler is available with racks for 32, 50 or 104 samples. Depending on the sample rack selected, the sample under analysis can be stirred individually.
