Disposable Filter for AA and ICP Analysis

The disposable DigiFILTER is available with Teflon membranes of 0.45 or 1.0-micron porosity fitted into a metal-free polypropylene housing. The filters fit easily into a laboratory’s sample preparation routine when digesting samples for ICP or AA analysis. To operate, users simply attach the filter to the threaded end of a DigiTUBE digestion tube and insert it into the luer connector from the vacuum manifold. Within seconds, a sample is completely filtered with no entrapment of residual sample, avoiding the problem of entrapped, acidified samples that must be considered as dangerous material for disposal. Offering simplicity and ease of use, the filter also ensures expensive ICP nebulization systems are unaffected by particle damage. A DigiFILTER system includes the 0.45- or 1.0-micron filters, the digestion tubes, a vacuum manifold and a vacuum source.
