Micro/Nano Fraction Collection for Capillary LC Separations

Induction Based Fluidics technology (IBF) is used to spot pico- to micro-size volumes of liquid chromatographic (LC) effluent into micro vials, micro-well plates or on MALDI targets. The ALIAS autosampler serves as the platform for the product. The IBF technology enables contactless deposition of droplets over relatively large distances with high accuracy. Decoupling of LC-separations from mass spectrometric analysis in proteomics research is the target application area. Decoupling of LC-ESI-MS allows unlimited MS analysis time for eluting sample components while fraction collection on MALDI targets enable LC-MALDI-MS analysis.
