High Temperature GPC Employs Infrared Detector
The GPCIR, a high temperature gel permeation chromatograph (GPC) dedicated to polyolefin analysis, employs the IR4+ infrared detector for improved S/N ratio and baseline stability. Both concentration and composition sensors are incorporated for short chain branching measurement. The compact and easy-to-use instrument can be configured as a high speed GPC with a triple detection system—including a viscometer, a light scattering and IR detector—or into a GPC+TREF system capable of performing both techniques and with a triple detector system also. Sample preparation is fully automated in a two-temperature-zone autosampler to prevent sample degradation. Seventy samples can be automatically dissolved and injected per day in 8-mL vials.
