High Temperature GPC Employs Infrared Detector
High temperature GPC employs infrared detector
Booth 4439. The GPCIR, a high temperature gel permeation chromatograph (GPC) dedicated to polyolefin analysis, employs the IR4+ infrared detector for improved S/N ratio and baseline stability. Both concentration and composition sensors are incorporated for short chain branching measurement. The compact and easy-to-use instrument can be configured as a high speed GPC with a triple detection systemincluding a viscometer, a light scattering and IR detectoror into a GPC+TREF system capable of performing both techniques and with a triple detector system also. Sample preparation is fully automated in a two-temperature-zone autosampler to prevent sample degradation. Other features include a high stability pump system with solvent preheating, columns zone isolated from valves and detectors, and a sample filter system with backflushing incorporated. Seventy samples can be automatically dissolved and injected per day in 8-mL vials. GPCIR virtual instrumentation software provides instrument control and monitoring of the whole process and signals generated. The system also includes remote control access for fast diagnosis and software upgrades.
