Solid-State Heat Pumps
for hot and cold temperature cycling
Booth 1804. Cap/window assemblies and solid-state heat pumps (SSHP) mounted on TO-style headers are suited for applications that require efficient and precise hot and cold temperature cycling. The solid-state heat pumps can include an integrated thermistor for temperature sensing. Integrated with a temperature control servo loop, the thermistor can control the SSHP temperature to 0.01 C depending upon installation and tolerance of controller. For medical and industrial gas analysis and spectroscopy applications, detectors are installed in direct contact with the SSHP and thermistor. The header/SSHP sub-assembly is sealed with a hermetic cap/window assembly. Window material options include AR coated sapphire or glass, calcium fluoride, zinc selenide or other optical materials as warranted by the application.
