GWS Systems manufactures the GWS Visio line of laboratory furnishings, which provides flexibility, mobility, and ergonomics for the lab user. GWS Visio workstations offer height adjustability with friction-adjust, hand-crank, or push-button motor devices. The dual-slotted, tubular steel upper frames move with the top when making height adjustments, allowing the shelving and components to maintain a proper ergonomic relationship with an individual user's height.
The GWS Visio systems provide user-friendly modularity so that the staff can easily adapt the workstations to suit changing needs. GWS builds these ease-of-use criteria into all of their products to allow the operator to take full ergonomic advantage of the adjustments. Also, all of the GWS Visio systems can be made mobile for additional flexibility and function in the lab.
The GWS Visio system uses robust steel construction supporting over 1000 lbs of capacity for a push-button motorized table frame. This allows large instruments to be adjusted to best suit the needs of the operator, and further readjusted for service or maintenance. And with the addition of casters the whole system becomes more adaptable and easier to manage in the lab.
The GWS Visio systems are emerging in existing labs where users require adaptability and mobility for changing missions. And with the proliferation of computerized labs, GWS Visio is finding acceptance where automated devices and computers require space not previously allowed for in most labs. GWS Visio is also helping labs adapt to the needs of disabled operators by providing height adjustability that meets ADA requirements. This also allows the stations to be used not only for ADA applications, but also for anyone in the lab environment. This allows for more efficient use of lab space to provide sound ergonomics for all operators.
