Intrinsically Safe, Infrared Thermometer

The non-contact 68IS infrared thermometer features added user safety when measuring surface temperature in potentially explosive or flammable environments. Factory Mutual (FM) approved the device intrinsically safe. The thermometer limits the release of sufficient thermal or electrical energy to cause ignition of a specified flammable gas or vapor-in-air mixture under normal operation and environmental conditions. With a temperature range of -25 F to 1400 F, it supports spot measurement, temperature differential and scanning techniques to monitor surface temperature. This ability helps locate potential blockages or malfunctioning systems for improved equipment performance. The device holds and logs temperature measurements to memory; displays minimum, maximum and average measurements; and features an adjustable emissivity setting. The backlit display is for use in poorly lit areas, and enhanced optical performance achieves a distance-to-spot ratio of 50:1, enabling users to measure smaller objects from greater distances.
