SFC System Provides Flexibility and Efficiency to Separations Method Development
Offering high throughput and resolution of demanding separations in drug R&D, the Method Station II SFC system features a fast, high-capacity autosampler, a large Analytical-2-Prep column oven and new software. The Analytical-2-Prep column oven accommodates multiple HPLC and SFC columns of different diameters. Its drawer design provides enough flexibility for using 10 columns of two different diameters (4.6 and 10 mm, or 10 and 20 mm) simultaneously. Thus, the oven enables users to test different phases in the separation of their drug compounds without stopping and starting the instrument to change columns. Integrated Chromeleon, ChemStation and ChromScope software allows users to choose the most suitable software for their application or laboratory setup. Additionally, the compact system utilizes CO2 as the mobile phase with a co-solvent resulting in faster equilibration, lower pressure drop and reduced solvent usage. The process is gentle on the stationary phase, reproducible, and suited for analytical or method development requirements for a range of applications.
