Facilitating Analysis and Detection for SFC: Software integration enables hyphenated SFC analysis

The pace of analysis and purification labs is increasing at a dizzying clip. Methods are to become shorter, column robustness is taxed by the increasing flows and pressures of HPLC systems, and hyphenated detector identification of peaks is just as important as relative purity. Supercritical fluid chromatography is an alternative chromatographic technique that has been adopted by many in the pharmaceutical industry to alleviate some of the previously stated burdens. SFC manufacturers have toiled with marketing a robust and reliable platform that includes control of the system, detectors, and fraction collectors, in a seamless and universally accepted software package. The following article will demonstrate the possibilities with the full integration of SFC into MassLynx and FractionLynx software from Waters Corporation.
