Column Connector Guarantees Zero Dead-Volume Connection

The Secure-Fit Column Connector is a technology that achieves zero dead-volume connection each time. The connector, resulting from the need for full proof accessories to perform temperature programmed chromatographic runs, is compatible with most vendor systems. A strong metal spring has been fitted within the housing and as this presses against the collar, which is attached to the tubing, it creates tension. This forces the tubing to extend to its limits. As the connector is tightened within the acceptor fitting, the spring tension ensures the end of the tubing is kept against the inside face. By simply applying light finger-tight tension to the fitting housing, the chromatographer can be confident that the connection is made with minimum dead-volume. The connector can be adapted to a different depth by using another acceptor fitting and, making it easy to use, is self-adjusting. The fittings are available with PEEK ferules or graphite ferrules for high temperature applications. Other features include self-adjusting within any standard 10 to 32 HPLC fitting, compatibility with virtually all injections, and finger-tight connections with no wrenches.
