Liquid Chromatograph Overcomes Column Bleed

The high temperature, liquid chromatograph Polaratherm can heat column packings to elevated temperatures without causing column bleed or degradation. Traditionally, temperature has not been used as a separation parameter in TPLC due to the interference of column bleed on the results, but the chromatograph heated the proprietary, silica based Blaze C8 column, Hamilton PRP-1 and Thermo Electron Hypercarb to temperatures up to 200 C, depending on the column's base, without any evidence of column bleed. The chromatograph preheater design eliminates band broadening, and its assembly is calibrated to the oven temperature upon installation to ensure the mobile phase temperature closely follows that of the column compartment. The device is compatible and can be integrated with any existing high performance liquid chromatograph. It is suited for those wishing to maximize productivity by improving work results, enabling faster running times and increasing efficiency.
