Helium Ionization Detector for Process Gas Chromatographs

A Helium Ionization Detector (HID) for the Fxi Series5 process gas chromatographs (PGC) uses a stable, low powered, non-radioactive, pulsed DC discharge in helium as an ionization source. This provides trace level measurements such as moisture and Ammonia in Ethylene streams and trace level Hydrogen in Nitrogen. The instrument adds to the series’ detector options, which include Thermal Conductivity (TCD), Flame Ionization (FID) and Flame Photometric (FPD).
