GC/MS System Allows Electronic Sharing of Application Methods

The Agilent 5975 Inert MSD gas chromatograph/mass spectrometer system features a novel user interface that allows the electronic sharing of application methods. This eliminates the need to manually create an application method on new instrumentation and accelerates the transfer and standardization of methods across laboratories. Using the system, researchers can download new application solutions from the company’s Web site and import them directly into the instrument, a concept called eMethods. With eMethods, analysts can also transfer their existing 5973 series MSD methods to the new 5975 inert MSD with a simple software upgrade. A redesigned hyperbolic mass analyzer with a higher mass range capability provides quality data for higher mass applications.
