Solvent Saver Columns
ZORBAX Solvent Saver columns help reduce solvent purchase and waste disposal costs in LC and LC/MS applications. The ZORBAX Solvent Saver (5 μm) and Solvent Saver Plus (3.5 μm) can be applied to new or existing HPLC methods. The 3.0 mm internal diameter columns provide advantages over the larger 4.6 mm columns, reducing mobile phase usage and waste by 60 percent and improving signal-to-noise ratio while still delivering the same resolution and selectivity. The flow rate for 3.0 mm columns are 40 percent of the flow rate of the 4.6 mm id columns at the same linear velocity; this decreases solvent purchase and waste disposal costs at the same linear velocity.
