PTFE-Insulated Heaters for Corrosive Environments
Thermofoil heaters with PTFE insulation facilitate applications where caustic or corrosive chemicals are present. Only 0.025 thin, the heaters are resistant to most acids and bases. Sealed PTFE-insulated leadwires allow immersion of the heaters in chemicals such as acid baths, etching systems, and chemical processing tanks. Suitable for operation to 260 C and capable of power densities of up to 50 watts/sq. in. at 100 C, the heaters provide fast gentle warming of critical materials. Optional features include integrated or discrete temperature sensors, special shapes and cutouts, and profiled watt density designs.
