SFC Separations Benefit from Two-Column Process
Supersep Max is a two-column process that increases the productivity of chiral separations, and it enhances the yield for difficult SFC separations. A single packed column is replaced by two short columns. The amount of stationary phase remains the same, but productivity is increased by up to five-fold for poorly resolved racemates. Pure fractions are collected as they elute from each column. Fresh racemate is periodically added to the non-resolved mixture, which re-circulates in a loop through both columns.
