IR and Broadband Optics Fabricated to Customer Specification
Custom-fabricated IR and broadband optics are available for applications such as front surface optics, detector windows, filter substrates and viewports. This offering includes windows, lenses, mirrors and prisms made from calcium and magnesium fluoride for transmission out to 20 μm, germanium, silicon, zinc selenide and zinc sulfide. Featuring λ/4 and λ/10 surfaces and finishes to 10-5 scratch-dig, they are fabricated to customer specification in plano-convex, concave and meniscus configurations. Sizes range from 0.25 to 5 OD or diagonal with a tolerance of ۪.005 and thickness to ۪.002. Additionally, A/R coatings are optional. Supplied in prototype through production quantities, the optics conform to MIL-PRF-13830.
